Planet Utopia

The Year 8 students participated in an amazing day this week during which they broadened their teamwork skills and ventured to the newly discovered 'Planet Utopia'!
They travelled over with the best of the best: scientists, farmers, educators and more to revoluntionise Planet Utopia into a whole new dimension by finding suitable lands to inhabit, building beautiful buildings (out of card shaped nets), engineering extraordinary wind turbines (out of KNex) and voting on laws for this brand-new country. They stood up in front of their peers to present their views and concerns which brought everyone out of their comfort zone, enhancing their confidence, gaining self-esteem and learning new skills they can use in life in jobs and friendships to come. What an exhilarating experience that was enjoyed by all!!
