Mini Marathon 2026
The recent Mini Marathon event at The Wavell School was a fantastic success, with all Year 7–9 students taking part in the exciting two-mile challenge. The atmosphere throughout the event was full of energy, determination, and school spirit, as every student successfully completed the course.
There were some outstanding performances across all year groups -
- In Year 7, the boys’ winner was Will C with an impressive time of 13:01, while the girls’ winner was Bebe C in 19:17.
- In Year 8, Jeremiah M took the boys’ title with a superb time of 14:35, and Maisie H won the girls’ race in 17:06.
- For Year 9, Koen R claimed victory in the boys’ race with a brilliant time of 14:06, while Amber W was the girls’ winner in 18:04.
Alongside the sporting achievements, the event also raised an incredible £852.81 for the school’s ‘Pitch In’ campaign. A massive thank you goes to everyone who helped raise sponsorship money and supported the event.
