Junior District Athletics
Our Year 7 and 8 athletes attended the Junior District Athletics on Monday 22nd June 2026. As a team event, this was one of our most successful championships to date. The Year 7 boys finished an impressive 5th overall out of 13 schools, while the Year 8 boys secured 6th place out of 13 schools.
A number of students delivered outstanding individual performances and deserve special recognition:
Year 7
- Parikshita P – 3rd in the 600m; selected as a reserve for the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Henry R – 2nd in both the 80m final and long jump; selected to represent the district in the 80m at the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- John R – Joint 2nd in the 150m; selected as a reserve for the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Will C – 3rd in the 1000m; selected to represent the district at the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Leo R – 5th in high jump; selected to represent the district at the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Frank D – 3rd in javelin; selected as a reserve for the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Isaiah W – 7th in the 75m hurdles
Year 8
- Poppy L – 1st in the 75m hurdles; selected to represent the district at the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships and awarded U14 Girls Track Performance of the Day
- Violet S – 6th in shot putt
- Lexie G – 5th in javelin
- Ollie S – 4th in the 100m final and 3rd in high jump; selected as a reserve for high jump at the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Alby F – 1st in shot putt; selected to represent the district at the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
- Jeremiah M – 5th in long jump; selected as a reserve for the Hampshire County Schools’ Championships
