Brilliant Book Awards
After a 15 week build up the day finally arrived. VOTING DAY for the Hampshire Book Awards! There were 6 book candidates: 'Postcards from Valhalla', 'Smoke and Mirrors', 'King of Nothing', 'Door of No Return', 'On Silver Tides' and 'The Thread That Connects Us'.
We went to Eggar’s school for voting day, met lots of new people from different schools around Hampshire and discussed what we thought about each book. The opinions were varied so at that time we didn’t know who the winner would be. The voting system was easy and straightforward; Select your favourite.
During our wait for the winner, the hosts ran different fun, book related activities such as The Missing Vowels Game. See if you can guess this one:

The Winner Was: Smoke & Mirrors
With mixed opinions, some disagreed with this but overall everyone had enjoyed the 15-week process. So, listen up Year 7’s, why don’t YOU sign up next year to represent our school?
