Health & Social Care

Health and Social Care is an option for our Year 10 and 11 students. This Cambridge National course provides opportunities for students to understand the values of care and how to protect the rights and safety of individuals by following the appropriate legislation.

Students will be able to identify and use effective communication and how to overcome barriers to communication. Students will learn about the life stages and how nutritional requirements vary depending on age and medical conditions. This will result in a meal being produced for a named medical condition. Students will learn how to use basic first aid procedures.
