Duke of Edinburgh 2020-21 |
08.01.21 Dear parent/carers Unfortunately due to current COVID circumstances and the rules from the DfE, it is not going to be viable to run the DofE Bronze Award for the Year 10 cohort this year. This has been a hard decision to make, however due to the late start and the current lockdown, students will not have the time to complete everything that is needed for the qualification or be able to complete the expeditions. If you have paid, we will be in touch with you soon about a refund. Thank you for understanding Mr Blunden and Miss Kinch DofE Managers

Go on a Journey! Navigate from A to B safely, learn something and most importantly, have fun! The Duke of Edinburgh Award is the world’s leading achievement award for young people. At The Wavell School we are excited and proud to offer our students this opportunity.
You can take part in DofE if you are between the ages of 14 to 24. We currently run a Bronze Award group for upper school students. Wavell students can apply to join at the end of Y9. There are 4 parts to the Award, which are detailed below. We run weekly sessions to help students prepare for their expedition and to support them as they organise and complete their Volunteering, Physical and Skill.
