Extracts from the school's Duke of Edinburgh Review Report 13.09.22
"The Wavell School became a Directly LIcenced Centre in 2019 so the last three years have been a case of adapting, learning, and finding their own way of delivering DofE. Both Paul and Lizzy have created an excellent delivery model, one that keeps cost low and accessible to the students at school whilst also being fun. They offer Bronze to Year 10 students and enrol in the Autumn term as soon as they can, with expeditions run in house from March onwards. They cap numbers due to staffing and minibus capacity, with limitations through the Hampshire Evolve system. They have received funding for some participation places which supports those that might not be able to afford the cost of DofE. "
"It is evident that Paul and Lizzy run a very good DofE programme at The Wavell School. They, alongside many staff volunteers put in a lot of time to enable the students to have this opportunity. I would like to thank them for their continued support as the Award wouldn't run without them."
